The Market Urban Hotel – A Favorite for Families in Florence

The Market Urban Hotel integrates sustainable hospitality practices with local culture, offering bike tours and walking tours that explore the city's landmarks. The hotel provides a diverse, organic breakfast with vegan and gluten-free options, using locally sourced ingredients. Guests receive a map of Florence upon arrival, and staff can book museum tickets and theatre tickets.

Design-oriented rooms feature unique artistic touches, with family rooms that include two king-size beds for four guests. Each room has a minibar, a safe, and an electric kettle, plus a private bathroom with a rainfall shower head and strong water pressure. Complimentary fruit, bread, and water are available in the lobby, and a free welcome gift bag with snacks is offered at checkout.

The hotel sits 200 meters from Santa Maria Novella Train Station and 450 meters from the Fortezza Da Basso Exhibition Centre, with the Florence Cathedral reachable in a 10-minute stroll. The area provides easy access to the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio, plus a tram that runs directly to the airport in 25 minutes. A minimarket, pharmacy, and laundromat are within a few steps of the entrance, and the neighborhood feels safe even late at night.

The 24-hour front desk offers concierge services, including dinner reservations and taxi bookings, plus same-day laundry service and valet parking. All rooms are soundproofed, with key card access and smoke alarms for security, and the lobby provides a water bottle filling station. Guests can relax with complimentary books of poetry in the lobby, and the hotel operates two apartments 100 meters away with a garden entrance.

A generous buffet breakfast is served daily from 7:30 to 10:30, including scrambled eggs, bacon, pancakes, fresh fruits, pastries, yogurt, and fresh cappuccinos made to order. The breakfast staff, named by guests as Carla, Jessica, and Nika, provide service with warmth. The cost for breakfast is 12 euros per person if not included in the room rate.
